Quiros Wins in Dubai
Alvaro Quiros capped off a great year for Odyssey on Tour with his thrilling victory at the European Tour’s season-ending Dubai World Championship. The Odyssey Staff Pro used a PT 10 Putter to drain a 40-foot eagle putt on the final hole of regulation to win by two shots. He celebrated the moment by pumping both fists, letting out a big shout and embracing his caddie.
With the win, Quiros moved into sixth place on the final Race to Dubai standings and climbed to No.21 in the world golf rankings. He also locked up a spot in next year’s Masters, U.S. Open and Open Championship. Quiros posted two wins on the European Tour this year and his victory at Dubai is his biggest professional achievement to date.
Odyssey Earns 71 Wins On The Year
Odyssey led all putter manufacturers with 71 wins across the six major professional Tours in 2011. The #1 Putter in Golf led three of these six Tours in putter wins and recorded five major victories across the PGA, LPGA and Champions Tours. Almost 75% of players who won with an Odyssey model this year are not Odyssey Staff Pros, they choose to play our putters for free in competition.
Odyssey Clinches Four of Six Money Titles
Odyssey also led all putter manufacturers with four money titles across the six major professional Tours this year. Odyssey claimed the top money spot on the Nationwide, PGA, European and JGTO Tours this year. The No. 1 ranked player in the world took home both the PGA and EPGA money crowns with a White Hot XG #7H Putter and was voted PGA Tour Player of the Year. Odyssey Staff Pro Sang Moon Bae won three JGTO events this year and won the Tour’s top money spot by a wide margin.
